Privacy Policy

Your photos are personal. This service only works if you can trust us with them, so this policy is written to be read — it describes what we actually collect, where it lives, and exactly when it's deleted.

What we collect

• Order details: your name, email address, style and background choices, and any notes you add to your order.
• Reference photos: the photos you upload (or email to us) so we can generate your headshots.
• Payment: handled entirely by Stripe. Your card number never touches our systems; we see only the order amount, status, and your receipt email.
• Abuse-prevention logs: IP addresses on a few security-sensitive endpoints, kept for up to 2 days, used only for rate limiting.

How your photos are stored

• Uploads go over an encrypted connection directly into private storage — there are no public links to any customer photo, ever.
• Photos are only accessible through short-lived, signed URLs generated by our own systems for fulfilling your order.
• Finished headshots are delivered through a private, unguessable link that expires after 30 days (we can issue a fresh one on request).

When things are deleted — automatically

• Reference photos: deleted automatically 7 days after upload.
• Finished headshots: stored for 30 days after delivery so you can download them, then deleted automatically.
• Deletion is enforced by a scheduled job, not a manual promise.

What we never do

• We never use your photos to train AI models.
• We never use your photos or headshots in our marketing without your explicit permission.
• We never sell or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

Service providers

We rely on three infrastructure providers, each receiving only what they need to do their job: Stripe (payment processing), Netlify (website hosting and order notifications), and Supabase (private photo storage). Order confirmation emails you receive come from Stripe.

Your choices

Want your photos deleted sooner than the automatic schedule, want a copy of the information we hold about your order, or have any privacy question? Email hello@motionvisualmedia.com and a real person will handle it — usually within one business day.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your photos are handled, we'll update the effective date above. Orders are always governed by the policy in effect when they're placed.
